best method in study is try to express the idea not under the pressure. Because
it will make us more comfort in what we learn. Learn in pleasant condition can
make use understand well the material that we are learn. So the best way if we
want to learn something is learn outside the class, because it will make us
more pleasant. For the example we can learn from internet such as from blog.
The
next we should know that everything in this world have their own dimension.
High dimension and low dimension. High dimension from water is vapor and the
low dimension of water is ice. Knowledge has its own dimension. High knowledge
dimension and low knowledge dimension. As a student of mathematics education we
should know that mathematics also has the dimension. Mathematics for university
student is formal mathematics. And mathematics for young people is activity not
the definition.
We
should know that there are many knowledge that we have ever learn, can’t define
something. Such as, the mathematics can’t define length, can’t define the since
of wide. So Ebbut and Stracker define that mathematics in school is the proses
of searching the pattern solving problem, investigation and proses of
communication.
Actually
the problem of student in the school is come from the teacher, come from the
parents. The student who haven’t authority have no fault. They just follow the
instruction from the teacher, so if student do not understand about the
material it is caused by the teacher. It is wrong if the teacher make
conclusion that their student is fool or have no ability. It’s all about the
teacher.
In
learning English the best method is by following the native because English is
life so the best way in learning English is come approach. We can learn from
video listening music or try to talking to the native speaker. We should make
ourselves familiar with English so we can use it spontaneously.
Every
student has skill, talent, and ability that not same each other. In general
teaching learning proses, teachers usually use same method to teach each
subject in their class. This condition make student can’t understand well the
material that given by the teacher. However, the nature of student learns
mathematics is to get an experience, improve their skill, and to be a good one.
Because
of that nature, students expect their teacher can facilitate them to get what
they are need. Students expect their teacher not use same method to teach
mathematics. They hope teacher can show them the online reference source, so
they can learn mathematics every time, everywhere. In teaching learning proses
in the class students need the text book and student worksheet that can help
them study mathematics. In other word, students want their teacher trust them
studied mathematics by themselves. And they want to conclude what they learn,
so they can understand well the material.
Students
dislike the method that make them only as an object of the teaching learning
proses. The learning should be varied and active. Because, it is mean less if
the teaching learning proses always dominated by the teacher and the student
just listen the explanation from their teacher without do anything.
As
a teacher the main problem is how to facilitate the student. To facilitate many
student, it is impossible if we just use the traditional method. Thanks to the
internet that can help us in teaching learning proses. The next point as a
teacher we should build the need of the student, because if student feel don’t
need the material, the teaching learning proses will not bring benefit to the
student. But if the student feel need to study, student will search his own
knowledge, so teacher just should give a little knowledge.
However,
we should have principle in our life. Principle will make us strong in our
life. As a teacher, we also should have principle in teaching learning method.
We should see the education in comprehensive way. The only solution to solve
this case is by reading. If we do not read more we will be snatched by the
other definition.
We
should know that nowadays the psychology of stimulus response not appropriate
anymore. It caused by the unpredictable people. All people in this century are
hard to predict. We often know that the calm man do something wrong.
In
this century we should have huge information because it is very important to
us. But we must use our religion to filter the information. Not all information
is true. We must use the clever mind to know the true one. So however we learn
English we should depend our culture. We should have best character. Mainly
there are three character, first is the low one, character for himself, the
second is character for the other, and the last is the character for
institution. The last is the best character, because we will able use our ability
to help more people.
And
the last we should be able to learn from many resource that can be accessed.
The best method to study is keep change our method, so that it will substitute
one another. And don’t forget that
accountability is very important to us in everything we do. Because we are
nothing without accountability.
In
learning English we must have our own initiative, because teacher just can
facilitate us to get the knowledge. He can’t make us suddenly mastering
English. In other word we must find our English by ourselves. For example, to
improve our English ability, we can reading an article and then reflect the
article. When we are reflecting the article, first we must understand the main
topic of the article. So we must read carefully the article and catch the idea
from each paragraph. Second, we must try to rewrite the article with our own
word and try to express our idea. After that, we can pose the problem, so
reader can understand our idea.
Prof. Dr. Marsigit, M.A, 2013,
notified that the essential of study is will, Attitude, Knowledge, Skill,
experience. He said that positive thinking, the component of “will” is one of
the most important thing in learning proses. It is meaningless when we are
learning English but we are thinking, it is impossible to do that.
And
we should remember that substance of language is very important. It is
meaningless if we learn language without substance. In mathematics education
class the substance of English is about mathematics education. So that, in that
class will discuss about mathematics education.
Generally
mathematics is defined as a single definition. But it is not. Mathematics can
define as many as people who think mathematics. Many experts say that
mathematics is a beautiful tool that can be used to develop our culture. They
think that mathematics can deliver them to the new era. But in other side there
are many people who hardly learn mathematics. They give all their spirit to
learn mathematics.
In
fact, there are two categories of mathematics. First is Formal Mathematics, or
axiomatic mathematic or pure mathematics. Formal mathematics or axiomatic
mathematics or pure mathematics is used in university level. And as we said
earlier the second is school mathematics. School mathematics is used in pre
elementary, elementary school, junior and senior high school. Generally there
is teacher that uses the pure mathematics in school. It makes the students
depressed and perceives that mathematics very difficult.
However mathematics
should adapt to his environment. Teachers have an important part to use the
suitable mathematics in their class. As we know that in elementary school
students need more activity in learning proses so teachers should able to
facilities them. In the school, it is not called mathematics if there is no
search of pattern and relationship. It is not called mathematics if there is no
a problem solving activity. It is not called mathematics if there is no
investigation activity. And it is not mathematics if we can communication well
after we study mathematics.
I
remember Mr Marsigit ever say that in teaching learning proses teacher usually
confuse what the best method to teach their student. However the best method in
teaching learning proses is silaturhmi method.
Silaturahmi is a culture that has been grown up in our lives. In other side
teacher also confused how to make his students pay their attention. Absolutely
teacher shouldn’t pose to get their student attention. It means, teacher
shouldn’t always to be central of the teaching learning proses.
