We often hear that children hate mathematics. It caused by the wrong mathematics that given to the children. Usually they have given the high level mathematics. It makes them hate mathematics so much.
In fact, there are two categories of mathematics. First is Formal Mathematics, or axiomatic mathematic or pure mathematics. Formal mathematics or axiomatic mathematics or pure mathematics is used in university level. Second is school mathematics. School mathematics is used in pre elementary, elementary school, junior and senior high school. Generally there is teacher that uses the pure mathematics in school. It makes the students depressed and perceives that mathematics very difficult.
However mathematics should adapt to his environment. Teachers have an important part to use the suitable mathematics in their class. As we know that in elementary school students need more activity in learning proses so teachers should able to facilities them. In the school, it is not called mathematics if there is no search of pattern and relationship. It is not called mathematics if there is no a problem solving activity. It is not called mathematics if there is no investigation activity. And it is not mathematics if we can communication well after we study mathematics.
Besides teachers should use the right mathematics, teachers also should show the respect of mathematics to their student. People who can show his respect, it’s mean that he have enough knowledge. So we hope students will have the ability in mathematics and also have a good behavior.

Silaturahmi is a culture that has been grown up in our lives. In other side teacher also confused how to make his students pay their attention. Absolutely teacher shouldn’t pose to get their student attention. It means, teacher shouldn’t always to be central of the teaching learning proses. The next question is what the good student is. Good student is student who can say that he like the mathematics without the force from his teacher. And the good teacher is the teacher who can facilitate their student well.
